Sandhurst Mfg confirms the sale of the Attachment Rental business to VP Plc.
Tim Dean, Chairman of Sandhurst Mfg, confirms the sale of the Attachment Rental business to VP Plc. The deal went through on 9th May, completing a process commenced in October 2017 when Sandhurst Mfg sold its Access Rental division to the Ashtead Group. Divested now of rental assets, Sandhurst Mfg Co Ltd will focus on its core retail and manufacturing businesses, while the retail and rental businesses will continue in close cooperation.
Dean, who founded Sandhurst in 1972, established the concept of specialist attachment rental during the early 80s. Since then Sandhurst has been the UK’s leader in all things “attachments”, operating nationally. Dean says, “The loyal staff of the rental division are very safe in the hands of VP, and we wish our friends and colleagues at VP Sandhurst every success.”
With its sights set on the global market for attachments, Sandhurst Mfg Co Ltd has recently commenced production of its design-engineered innovation, The Articulator 5000, exhibited at Bauma, and already being sold in three continents. Imminent is a “house” brand of European first quality hammers, continuing the long line of association for Sandhurst Mfg Co with the product type.
